Supporting University Programs through the Innovation and Inspiration Campaign

We are a collective of arts and academic programs, including Office of Diversity, K-State Global Campus, Graduate School, Office of International Programs, K-State Libraries, Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art, McCain Auditorium and Performance Series, Staley School of Leadership Studies, Student Life and the Office of Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies. With your investment, University Programs can take the learning experience beyond departments and colleges to build a foundation for holistic success.

Funding priorities - $73.5 million

Whether it’s the arts, international experiences, global education, leadership or enhancing and diversifying the student experience, find what inspires you. Connect with the area you love and give where you care most. By funding our collaborative efforts, you can make a difference.

Arts and culture

Arts and cultural programs at K-State make extraordinary experiences available to K–12 students free of charge. They offer the K-State community and surrounding region opportunities to connect with world-class artists through exhibitions, lectures, workshops and other scholarly activities. Your investment ensures that access to art, artists and creative possibilities will continue to grow and enhance the K-State experience for all.

Student success

Whether it is study abroad, undergraduate research, internships, service-learning, artistic enrichment or intercultural immersion, University Programs strengthen students’ K-State experience and prepare them well for their professional and civic lives. Your investment connects students with diverse global perspectives, deep learning, professional acumen and leadership development — all of which are critical to student success.

Learning environments

Today’s college students need us to meet them where they are. That’s why University Programs are working to provide more collaborative learning spaces and easier access to library resources. We are creating flexible learning opportunities around the world through distance and online education. Your investment in facilities, equipment and programs on campus and online will ensure K-State is prepared to meet students whenever and wherever they’re ready to learn.

International and diversity programs

University Programs work toward global readiness for all students, faculty and staff. We provide transformative international learning experiences abroad. We provide for an engaged international academic experience and diverse community. Your investment in enhancing already robust international and diversity initiatives and experiences will ensure the K-State family is well prepared to excel in the global, interdependent 21st-century society.

Research

University Programs encourage students to think outside the box and ask not just “Why?” but “Why not?” We use the arts as a vessel for creative inquiry about our world. We identify researchers as early as freshman year to join projects led by graduate students and faculty. Your investment in research programs and scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students will help University Programs produce the problem-solvers of tomorrow.

Community outreach and engagement

A defining characteristic of K-State students is their passion for their peers, their communities and their world. That’s why University Programs provide opportunities for students to get involved and make a difference. They are engaging in remarkable endeavors like feeding the hungry, promoting sustainability and fighting illiteracy, and they’re learning new things along the way. Your investment in service learning initiatives will ensure University Programs continue to develop the head and the heart.
