A crowd of more than 1,000 sang along with the K-State Marching Band as President Kirk Schulz unveiled fundraising progress at the October 9 public launch of the $1 billion Innovation and Inspiration Campaign.


Cheers erupted at the announcement that over the previous five years, K-State alumni, friends, faculty, staff and students gave more than $766 million to the campaign. "What a great evening to be a Wildcat," Schulz said. "Your generosity is the foundation of K-State's success in the past, today and certainly in the future. Thank you for you endless enthusiasm, your commitment to greatness and K-State 2025 and making sure we continue to assure this is an awesome place for future generations of students."


Throughout the evening, the audience heard stories about how those gifts are helping K-Staters accomplish so much. Filled with pride and celebration, the evening marked a turning point in the historic campaign to invest in Kansas State University and drive innovation for the future.
